| My first car was a black 1965 Rambler Classic 550 that my father bought for me to commute to school in. The Rambler was my college car, and I kept it until I graduated and moved to New York. Lots of memories, here... |
| My first car after I graduated college - bought from my father-in-law - a 1965 Olds 88. It had a front hood you could pitch a tent on, and a monster 425 engine. This was back in the days when men were MEN and cars were CARS. |
| One of my favorite cars - the Sunbeam Alpine - my early 70's car. It was a ragtop (also had a tonneau cover) and had a little jump seat in the back for Jenny. Of course, we didn't have child seats in those days. |
| My dad passed away in 1974. Before he died, he 'splurged' on a
car he really wanted - a Buick Skylark 2 door, 350 engine. Quite a
nice car for its day. He left it to me and I drove it for quite a few
years.
To build my rear house deck, I then bought a Chevy LUV pickup truck. |
| Another car-love - the Porsche 914 - my mid 70's car. This thing ran real hot and had unbelievable handling. Unfortunately, it also seemed to get into accidents! |
| In 1976, I bought a VW Rabbit. Although the Rabbits were good cars, this one was a total lemon. The dealer let me trade up to a '76 Dasher the same year. |
| The Dasher - a much better vehicle! |
| When I got more into being a family man, a big Ford Van was just the ticket! This was 1979. |
| In the interim, I had an Opel GT, and a Subaru 4WD Wagon. | |
| Probably my all time favorite, my red Camaro - 1984-1994. This was the Berlinetta model, with digital dash and lots of cool accessories. |
| My red 1994 Honda Prelude, Yet another red sports car! The picture was taken before the rear wing was added. |
| OK OK. Enough of the sports cars and goodbye to youth. Now I drive a man's vehicle - a 1998 red (well, burgundy) Ford F150 Extended Cab Pickup. Love it... |
